The PNRR represents an extraordinary opportunity for relaunch and development for the Italian economy and, at the same time, sets a challenging objective for all stakeholders - institutions, companies, associations, civil society, media - involved at various levels in the implementation of its strategic lines.
The CEOforLIFE community wants to offer its contribution through the activation of working groups - in line with the 6 major areas of intervention defined by the PNRR - within which the CEOs will be able to share and define projects, joint initiatives and proposals for action for the benefit of the implementation of the Plan recently presented to the European Union and, more generally, to support the growth of the entire country system.
The 6 pillars of the PNRR:
DIGITALIZATION, INNOVATION, COMPETITIVENESS, CULTURE
The first pillar focuses on the digital transition as a lever for the development of our economic system. In fact, digitization represents a transversal need and implies the continuous modernization of production processes (investments in technology, in industrial supply chains, implementation of connectivity throughout the national territory, etc.), in the management of the Public Administration, in the promotion of tourism and culture. to increase the attractiveness and enhance the Italian brand.
GREEN REVOLUTION AND
ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION
The global and European objectives for 2030 and 2050 aim at a progressive and complete decarbonisation of the system ('Net-Zero') and to strengthen the adoption of circular economy solutions, to protect nature and guarantee a food and production system that respects the environment. environment. The different components of the pillar aim to improve the management of the waste cycle and promote the circular economy, reducing the gap between North and Center-South; increase the use of renewable energy, with particular attention to sustainable mobility and the decarbonisation of some industrial sectors; to innovate production chains through the development of supply chains that make it possible to reduce dependence on the import of technologies; improve energy efficiency by increasing the efficiency level of buildings; work on mechanisms for safeguarding and protecting the territory.
INFRASTRUCTURE FOR
SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY
The goal is to make the infrastructure system more modern, digital and sustainable by 2026, by intervening on the strengthening of the country's connection networks, developing platforms to support an increasingly green local transport system and improving the quality of living. and social infrastructure (urban regeneration).
EDUCATION AND RESEARCH
The fourth pillar intends to promote quality educational services, reducing the school dropout rate and the territorial gaps present in this area; introducing targeted interventions to reduce the mismatch between education and job demand, intervening on the provision of a training offer in line with the needs of businesses; increase investments in R&D to stem the phenomenon of the so-called "brain drain" and make our country attractive for international profiles.
INCLUSION AND COHESION
At the center of the fifth pillar we find the initiatives to support women's empowerment and the fight against gender discrimination, increase the employment prospects of young people, territorial rebalancing and development of the South and inland areas to promote the development of an economy based on on knowledge through investments in upskilling, reskilling and life-long learning activities.
HEALTH
The Covid-19 emergency has further highlighted the importance of health and a modern and efficient National Health System. The sixth pillar will be dedicated to the development of proximity networks, intermediate structures and telemedicine to strengthen the capillarity of local health care; and innovation, research and digitalization of the national health service, through the renewal of existing technological and digital structures and the adoption of more effective information systems to improve patient support activities.
